I have a few questions: 1) Does the mac keyboard also fail to work after hooking up the USB keyboard? 2) Does the mac keyboard also fail at the console username/password prompt? (You can get to that prompt by typing ctrl-alt-f1 at the GDM.) 3) I believe that Apple released a keyboard firmware update not too long ago. Have you installed that update?
