Public bug reported:

I installed the NVIDIA driver 177 because a nice message box told me
that it might make sense. However, after a reboot I noticed some display
problems that haven't been there before. Therefore I decided to
deactivate the NVIDIA driver again, which did not work.

I start /usr/bin/jockey-gtk, chose NVIDIA 177 and pressed Deactivate.
After that nothing happens anymore, the window is blocked, it is not
even redrawn anymore. After waiting for several minutes nothing
happened. As a workaround I manually uninstalled the NVIDIA driver, but
it would be nice to see jockey-gtk actually work.

I am using Ubuntu 8.10 "buggy ibex" with the latest updates installed.
