Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: pyneighborhood

Trying anonymous access from xubuntu Intrepid to a share on ubuntu Intrepid
samba server. pyNeighborhood fails to mount an SMB share with "Failed to
mount". The debug messages in console shows it's running "/usr/bin/smbmount
//share/name /home/my/network/dir/name -o password=". "Always use anonymous
logon" is turned on in the preferences. The same works when pyNeighborhood is
started with sudo.
The problem can be fixed by adding Options: guest in SMB Preferences. In this
case it's running  "/usr/bin/smbmount //share/name /home/my/network/dir/name -o
password=,guest" which produces a warning but works somehow.
