Hi,

thanks for the help.

I have no idea how to install the newer 2.6.27-9 kernel.

Is this newer than the kernel in the current Ubuntu release?

I am a total newbie, just dabbling.

I am running Ubuntu on an Acer 2420 Travelmate Laptop with
1.5ghz Intel Celeron M
Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 900
2 GB ram (DDR2)
Atheros wifi

Hi David,

Is this still and issue if you try installing the newer 2.6.27-9 kernel?
Thanks.
