Hi, I just have to add that I have had this problem in the last couple Ubunutu releases too, only just getting to grips with what it means to be part of the community and report this sort of problem. If the app is put in the menu it should work?? If people think it is too dangerous to run as root then it shouldnt be their by default when the restricted drivers are used?? This is a very useful tool when run manually from terminal especially when configuring dual monitors.
