Experiencing the same kind of behavior since update to 8.10. Having had lots of frustrating crashes I can name the following symptoms:
- crash only happens when using with WPA2 encrypted wlan connections or Cisco VPN client - occurs only when network is active - for WPA2 the crashes happen more often when the connection is bad, all in all approximately 30% of all sessions - for CISCO the system crashes every time, after 2 to 10 minutes of use Interesting: VPNC client does not crash My idea is that there is some big bug in the kernel concerning network and encryption. Hopefully this will be resolved soon, since the wpa2 encrypted "eduroam" is kind of a european education standart. -- System crashes using firefox / network https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/297110 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
