I actually gave up on ubuntu a while ago, had nothing to do with the community or the strength of the distro but I just wanted different things that Ubuntu couldn't offer in its current form. I greatly appreciate the follow up and wanted to let you know that I am not using the current release even though I downloaded Ibex on the day it came out (mainly as a show of solidarity to the linux community).
