I was able to connect to that network today, I think networkmanager is just flaky at this stage in general..
This launchpad bug, then, should for simplicity's sake be dedicated to the bug in the graphical user interface, whereby keys entered by the user are seemingly changed, being replaced by their hexadecimal representations.
