chrone: Try run "sudo hp-setup" command again, make sure it downloads the plugin from the Internet, power off the printer, reboot your machine. log in to your account as well. Wait until it's booted completely. Now power on the printer. It should work fine. Make sure you are using the printer on its own USB port (i.e. don't use the 4-devices-on-1 USB adaptors).
