Pedro, no one appears to have given you a backtrace. I'll oblige. I have the sympton as above, hang on the flash screen. However, in my case it seems to manifest when it opens a glade file on startup. It then prompts for the program to edit the glade file, and I select the glade designer program, at which point it halts. Removing the .anjuta directory allows the program to start.
