This should not be required as FileZilla is supposed to open the appropriate 
application for the file you're trying to edit. The "default editor" is only 
used in case it fails.
Can you confirm this behaviour? On which kind of file does it fail?

Anyway, I'm looking into how it would be possible to set a default
editor by default.
