Attached is mine. A couple of items seem worth following up. You have an order of magnitude more of whatever attribute 188 is, two orders of magnitude more seek errors, and 279 of attribute 254 is where I have none.
I did come across "Note that Seagate drives often report a raw value that is very high, even on new drives, and this does not normally indicate a failure", but we both have the same Seagate drive, mine has almost twice the hours that yours does, and you have 100* the number of seek errors. Attribute 254 is interesting, since that is reportedly "Number of "Free Fall Events" detected", which means that my system has detected none, despite being moved while in use, and yours has 279. We have the same firmware revision, by the way. ** Attachment added: "smartctl-sda.txt" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/20735630/smartctl-sda.txt -- Thinkpad with Seagate 7200.3 crashes after head parking due to movement https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/311352 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
