Hi, I'm a Sidux (Debian experimental) user. For me the situation is the same; until now I suppose it's distro-agnostic. Please see here:
http://sidux.com/PNphpBB2-viewtopic-t-13939-sid- b0744522b35e9bbff18d3e6f890ef830.html I found that the hid drivers changed quite a bit and suppose the problem lies buried in 2.6.28's usbhid/apple-hid directories and modules (if interested please compare /lib/modules/2.6.28/kernel/drivers/hid/ against 2.6.27/kernel/drivers/hid/; you'll see what I mean). Right now I'm trying to get the correct modules loaded in the initrd, but my problem is that I don't know which ones I need, because I can not boot 2.6.28 until I get this fixed...
