okidoki - tried now to print via my notebook ubuntu 8.10. doesn't work either. I get an error in printer sign that tells me that the printer is prolly not connected. But it is. I checked detection in printer menu, is detected. I print testside - works fine. I print from OOo - works fine. I work from xd card in printer slot (for photo test) - works fine. so it must be a f-spot problem IMO. Good luck.
