If you are using the "nvidia" xorg driver, this is to be expected, still; as written on http://www.ubuntu.com/testing/jaunty/alpha2:
"A new XServer, version 1.6, is included in Alpha-2. The binary proprietary drivers -fglrx and -nvidia are not yet supported for this server and will exhibit various serious issues if run against it. Users of these drivers are encouraged to wait or to switch to the corresponding open source drivers (-ati and -nv respectively) in the meantime." The fglrx driver kills all display on my system if I use it, so I have to use ati in the meantime. Solution: wait. -- [jaunty] Xorg freezes with nvidia when playing videos https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/305517 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
