Hello!
This is not a bug report, but a feature request. If you don't want the dialogue
to appear, please go to System->Preferences->File Management->Media.
About the icon for each drive, you can change the icon in Places->Computer then
right-click on the drive. But it will not change the icon for each media as
with the autorun.inf feature in Windows. A suggestion about a autorun.inf-like
feature has been posted on http://brainstorm.ubuntu.com, as feature suggestions
should be.
