Same problem here with 8.10 64 on my self built computer running Core 2 3.0GHz with 4GB ram and a 256MB nvidia 8600GT. I don't get the caps lock light issue since I'm running a desktop. I thought it might be a hardware issue but I installed Mint 5 64 and it ran great. Reinstalled 8.10 64 and its freezing again randomly. Freezes when I'm not at home so when I get home I have to hard restart and my monitor is in standby. Will post logs when I get home although they never seem to show any errors.
