Binary package hint: firefox-3.0
This seems to be an Ubuntu-related problem; printing from Evolution mail
does not work, neither does the test print page work from System-Admin-
Printing-printtestpage menu. No error messages given, print job
appears to be sent to printer OK, printer however does not respond.
I have rebooted several times, turned power on and off to printer, and
followed the usual hardware debugging steps.
FYI Same error occurred a few months ago when someone uploaded a
reduced-size CUPS database with a Hardy Heron-wide update, however that
was fixed within a couple weeks when someone else uploaded a more
complete version of CUPS. I am sorry to say I am not proficient
enough in Linux/Ubuntu/Hardy Heron to find, compare and correct versions
of CUPS. I just hit that "update" button when it flashes at me.

I suppose I will switch my printer's cable back to our Windows machine,
and print from that until I get some feedback on the problem - or see
something like a CUPS update come through.
