Public bug reported:

I am using Ubuntu 8.10. I am also using the latest stable version of
whichever package this occurs in: my system is fully updated. This bug
occurs when using any deformation (ie, sphere, cylinder, none) and with
or without gears enabled. It also works with views both inside and
outside. However, the 3-D Windows effect must be turned on for this bug
to be experienced. To reproduce this bug, hold down ctrl + alt, then
hold down the the left mouse button. This should make the dekstop go
into its 3-D form. Now, while holding these down, tap the down arrow on
the keyboard. This should create a line across the top of the screen
(with spherical or cylindrical defomation) or a plane across the top
(with no deformation (ie a cube)). I expected the desktops to just
unfold as they normally do with ctrl + alt + down.

** Affects: ubuntu
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
