No. Found that a switch in the sound card application was incorrectly set. Now I need to figure out how to enter commands so I can add drivers to the program and use this for the purpose I need: recording and editing my records. Thank you. I thought I closed the ticket, guess I need to check.

Status in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: Running Ubuntu 8.04 with Soundblaster24 sound card (original equipment). Immediately after logon, get 'drum roll' announcing Ubuntu. Afterwards cannot get any sound over speakers. Tried going to sites with video (news) and running music cd. Saw a fix for Soundblaster16 problem that may work, but (been a long time since I wrote anything) don't recall how to write additions to bios files. Have no ability to print! Printer, Compaq 1500 (and Soundblaster) show in directories. Just not accessing when command is given. Both were functioning prior to loading Ubuntu over Windows ME. -- Sound missing after logon. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/276763 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
