No, the device does not register with dmesg or lsusb. I realise, and realised before I posted, that theis bug may not be specific to or related to the xorg package. BUT when you file a bug here at Launchpad, you MUST enter a package name for the bug. So I am experiencing difficulties in Ubuntu recognising one of my usb devices and when it is plugged in, NOTHING HAPPENS. So I have NO CLUE what the heck package is failing! So if there is any way that you could direct me to where people could help on this issue and the bug would be filed correctly, I would appreciate it.
