I'm sorry there is no option to disable graphic-cards in my bios (which
is the latest version V207),  it's a very compact bios. I tried to
install the closed source driver from AMD/ATI on ubuntu but couldn't get
it to work. The first time i booted mandrive from harddisk, it said that
X couldn't be started, Mandriva then comes with a tool to install
drivers, Mandriva downloaded some driver and then i could change some
settings about my hardware configuration and press test. After some
configuration it succeeded. It would be nice if Ubuntu came with a
utility like this, so you never end up with a blinking cursor in the
shell.
