Thanks, can you also attach the output from 'lspci -vvnn' and 'xrandr
--verbose'?

Also, could you attach two Xorg.0.log's - one from when you're booted up
properly in a high resolution, and a second from after you've blanked
the screen at the lower resolution?  (This second one can be gotten
after rebooting - it's named Xorg.0.log.old).  Basically, I want to see
if anything is written to the log when you do the resolution switch.
