I have revision 0x100101 on my Realtek ALC889a (Gigabyte EP45-DS4
motherboard) and it doesn't correctly recognize it, instead it's
recognized as ALC885 and I can't get sound to work. I don't get any
errors, I just don't seem to get any sound. (I have only tried S/PDIF
since that is the only output I ever use.)

I use Ubunty 8.10 (Intrepid Ibex) and the latest ALSA available in
Synaptic (1.0.17.dfsg-2ubuntu1).
