Binary package hint: kde-hal-device-manager
On Kubuntu 9.04 64-bit, KDE does not do a good job of detecting an SD
card inserted into the card reader slot of my Dell Vostro 1500 laptop.
Sometimes KDE displays it as a removable device, sometimes it displays
it as a fixed device, and sometimes it does not display it at all. In
all three of these cases, the same output is produced in the system log,
and I can manually mount the disk even when KDE does not detect it. I
have also tried other SD cards, and the same problem occurs.
