Public bug reported:

Our mon daemon (which we use for diskspace checking) suddenly can't find
unistd_32.ph.
I't happened since the latest apt-get dist-upgrade which updated the following:
 libarchive-tar-perl (1.36-1ubuntu0.1) hardy-security; urgency=low
 perl (5.8.8-12ubuntu0.3) hardy-security; urgency=low

mon daemon used was latest version (as per http://packages.ubuntu.com/hardy/mon
).
locate unistd_32.ph does not give any locations.
strace attached (-efile).

We're running Hardy:
 # uname -a
 Linux web1 2.6.24-22-server #1 SMP Mon Nov 24 19:14:19 UTC 2008 i686 GNU/Linux

If any other info is needed, let me know.

** Affects: mon (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
