Why do new users need to edit grub settings at all?
I agree with Dennis, this shouldn't be a bug report on grub. If someone
wants to implement a graphical editor for grub that's great (maybe
that's you since you assigned this bug to yourself, or maybe you did
that on accident?), but it wouldn't belong in the grub package in any
case.
