I found a pretty interesting link: http://people.freedesktop.org/~hughsient/quirk/quirk-keymap-index.html It explains this issue you are currently faced with. By clicking on the "I want to know what quirk and keymap means" if you look under the Prolem paragraph. You see exactly why this is occurring. ---> Some vendors use buttons that are not recognized by Linux, and a scancode to keycode mapping is not done. If this is the case which I think it is, that would explain why xev ignores the events when you press the keys.
Unfortunately they don't have your keyboard model already added. I think that we might be able to work on creating a keymap for your model, but it's going to be difficult doing to through here. I don't personally have a laptop that suffers from the same issue. Can you please attache the output of: lshal | grep keymap, and we will go from there? -- Missing multimedia touch on ASUS a7sv https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/311417 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
