Sorry, another point of info... I have the compizconfig-settings-manager
installed (0.7.8-0ubuntu3) and when I try to set the keybinding for
raise/lower through 'General Options'  / 'Key bindings', there is no
option listed for that window operation.

I also looked under the 'Window Management' section and have 'Extra WM
Actions enabled (but it has no option in there for raise-lower either).
I am using the GConf Configuration backend (as opposed to the file based
back end) and have 'Enable integration into the desktop environment'
enabled. I've attached a copy of an export of my Compiz profile exported
(minus the defaults). Hope this helps.
