I have just tested with 32bit version of 8.10 - this doesn't happen.

Also in 64 bit i'm missing 64mb ram - get the message -

0.004000] Your BIOS doesn't leave a aperture memory hole
[ 0.004000] Please enable the IOMMU option in the BIOS setup
[ 0.004000] This costs you 64 MB of RAM

- there is no option in the bios.

I also do not get the above message in 32bit using pae (i.e up to 64 GB)
