This means that parted is having trouble understanding your disk's
partition table. I'm very interested in fixing this, but I need some
data from you to do so. Could you please attach the following files to
this bug (you can use "Save debug logs" from the installer's main menu
to help you extract them):
/var/log/syslog, from the running installer after reproducing this bug
/var/log/partman, likewise
the output of 'sudo od -Ax -tx1 -N512 /dev/sda', which you will have to run
from a desktop CD or from the existing hardy installation on your disk
