I am also using the "Watch my library for new files". Each time I load Rhythmbox I receive 148 import errors relating to Windows system files (Thumbs.db etc).
If this is not going to be "fixed", maybe an option could be provided to categorically exclude certain files or file types (either by MIME or extension). I personally would exclude all *.db, *.ini from the import process.
