Are you able to easily reproduce this by just running glxinfo? If so, can you collect a full backtrace using gdb? There's some directions at http://wiki.ubuntu.com/X/Backtracing if you've not done this before. But basically: $ gdb glxinfo gdb> run gdb> backtrace full Then paste the output here.
