Interesting! Am travelling on holiday, so will only try it out after I
get back in about 8 days' time. For future reference in case it helps
others: I certainly did not install a via driver, the problem kicked
in during the first installation---there is something else that
installs it. Let's hope that doesn't mean that there is an important
component that needs the via driver.
