I'm running 8.10 already and I think this bug is solved, but I'll check and update. I do know that 8.10 have a nastier bug coming from either NM or the broadcom driver, where my machine will freeze (caps and numlock lights are blinking), when using certain wireless networks. I can replicate it fairly easy on my work wireless network, but it never happens on my home network.
