It could be, that the connector table of your card is broken. Could everyone, who gets a black screen please try to set the HDP option as described in section "10.5. My monitor isn't detected" in [1] ? Unfortunately there are two drivers for your graphics chip, one is called radeonhd, the other one is called radeon. Please test for both drivers and report back here. Thanks!
