On my sony vaio dmesg is flooded with messages like:
[ 1596.228000] sonypi: Sony Programmable I/O Controller Driver v1.26.
[ 1596.232000] sonypi: failed to request ioports
[ 1596.232000] sonypi: probe of sonypi failed with error -16
I had no problem with Dapper and Edgy.
