This might be a bit late, however I guess my problem is similar to the one above:
When Ubuntu boots after the startup progress bar, the screen goes black and nothing happens. Even Ctrl+Alt+Fn and Ctrl+Alt+Back doesn't work. I observed that behavior __ONLY__ when the NVidia Driver is installed and activated (at the time its newest version is 177 and I haven't tried with the older one). If without the NVidia Driver, everything works, however there is no 3D support... I googled a bit and found that: http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=118342 Perhaps the ABI has changed. Enclosed to this post you will find my Xorg.20.log. ** Attachment added: "Xorg.20.log" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/21106064/Xorg.20.log -- Graphics fail in fresh install (Compaq EVO N150) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/254384 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
