By downgrading my systems (two) from a backup dated jan, 5th and
upgrading step by step it seems to be the update of package
>alsa-utils (1.0.18-1ubuntu4 to 1.0.18-1ubuntu5
which is responsible for the malfunction described above (not the
pulseaudio packages)
