I can confirm this. I send the request upstream to [email protected] as
the public is not allowed to file bugs on their tracker.

Currently when generating a CSR, the prompt says:
Common Name (eg, YOUR name) []:
-- This is confusing to many users. It has been suggested that this
could read 'Common Name (eg, YOUR servers DNS name) []:' or something
along those lines.
