Canon lide25 flat bed scanner does not work on Hardy 8.04.1 (fully up to date)
using xsane after clicking Preview or Scan buttons. Used to work on Gutsy using
start up program of scanbuttond with parameter -r 1000000. Doesn't work on
Hardy with or without scanbuttond. Error displayed of 'Operation cancelled' in
window labelled Warning: clicking only button of 'Close' closes window and
scanning does not happen. Terminal command 'scanimage -L' shows the scanner:

device `v4l:/dev/video0' is a Noname Z-star Vimicro zc0301p virtual device
