It sounds like the screensaver has grabbed the mouse and hidden the
cursor and for whatever reason is not releasing it.  However, I'm not
sure how to verify that.

There's not enough info yet on this bug to begin troubleshooting it
though.  Can you experiment around with some different parameters to see
if you can find a pattern that would help us narrow it down?  For
instance, try some different themes, test with/without compiz, test
different screensavers or different screensaver settings, see if you can
reproduce it with a new test user account, try with a different mouse,
etc.  Also try to determine whether the mouse cursor is locked or just
invisible - even though you can't see it, can you still click on stuff
and get a response?

The gdk_drawable messages *might* be indicating a problem drawing the
mouse cursor, but I think it's perhaps more likely that they're
irrelevant.
