** Description changed: Binary package hint: xorg I tried to run Hardy 4 on my machine, both by using the standard Live CD and by installing Hardy 4 Studio to the hard drive. The initial screens / installation came up perfectly. However, when I tried to boot into the new system, the screen came up gibberish, with random colors on part of the screen, and black on the other part. I installed performed all upgrades this morning, got new kernel and modules, re-ran: dpkg-reconfigure -phigh xserver-xorg Still black. I understand this issue may be well-known because of ati-radeon drivers and possible issues with NVIDIA GeForce but thought I would report it because I couldn't find a bug. In the meantime, my technical knowledge is limited but I can perform tests if required. I have Hardy 4 Studio installed and can work it from the command line. + + [lspci] + 00:00.0 Host bridge [0600]: Intel Corporation Mobile PM965/GM965/GL960 Memory Controller Hub [8086:2a00] (rev 03) + Subsystem: ASUSTeK Computer Inc.
