That didn't answer the question. Standard openoffice.org install on
Ubuntu doesn't have Java installed or any of the parts of OpenOffice.org
that need Java (well in general anyway). But installing the
'openoffice.org' package should pull all of it in. That hopefully would
resolve your problem which was why I was asking if you had that package
installed.
