Thanks, but this doesn't sound like an Ubuntu bug. Because Grub never
loads and the live CD just spins up without progressing past your BIOS's
POST routine (Asus logo still present), then this is almost certainly a
BIOS or BIOS configuration issue. Therefore, I'm going to close this as
invalid.
