Just reproduced the issue on openjdk-6 on Intrepid JeOS Server+tomcat6+JIRA. I implemented the workaround: sudo apt-get install libjpeg62 sudo ln -s /usr/lib/libjpeg.so.62 /usr/lib/libjpeg.so
