Public bug reported:
PS2 mouse 2buttons, not detected and not working in 6.06 livecd or installed.
History: tried 5.10 on laptop IBM A20M 11g hd, 196mg ram, mouse and pointer un
center of keyboard worked simultaniously without problem. Had problem with
Linksys WPC54G so decided to move up to 6.06, at that point in live version,
mouse not taken into consideration, only pointer in center of keyboard
works.After install on HD still no mouse.
Examined difference between Xorg.conf in 5.10 and 6.06, protocol differ.
5.10 has ImPS/2 and GLcore and 6.06 ExplorerPS/2 and many more module
regarding tablet PC but no GLcore.
Tried to substitute protocol from ExplorerPS/2 to ImPS/2 without succes.
tried to add GLcore to 6.06 conf. X crashed. tried to remove the many
modules regarding tablet PC, X crashed.
Any reason why mouse would work fine in 5.10 and not in 6.06.
Im running 6.06,now with kernel 2.6.15.25 686 (upgraded from 386, same result
no mouse ), on IBM A20M, Celeron 500,196mg ram, 11g HD.
oh! and pcmcia card, Linksys WPC54G Broadcom 4306 still doesnt work.
Recognized in lspci -v but not seen anywhere else. Cant activate it ,
cant connect .

Suspected Udev difference from 5.10 to 6.06 according to some in forum
#Ubuntu, but couldnt find fix.
PS: forgot to mention, mouse is PS/2 on PS2 port of laptop. Cant use USB
since there is only 1 usb port on the machine and is needed for usb key.
Tried to get serial mouse working without succes.
