I already fixed this in parted:
parted (1.8.8.git.2008.03.24-11.1ubuntu2) jaunty; urgency=low
* ext4.dpatch: Add skeletal ext4 support.
* dm-null-target.dpatch: Fix segfault in case DM_DEVICE_TABLE returns no
targets.
