Here's a new variant of the problem. I'm sitting in X and everything is just fine. I use Ctrl-Alt-F5 to switch to a tty. Then I try using Ctrl-Alt-F7 to switch back. That fails. I get a back screen and a mouse cursor (I-beam shape), but the system is otherwise completely non-responsive to the keyboard. The mouse still moves the mouse cursor, but there is no other response.
I ssh in and look around. Things appear just fine. I see nothing wrong or unusual. Reboot time. Perhaps this method of reproducing the issue will help someone find and fix it that much sooner. Oh, and just to be clear, I've yet to see the hang when exiting xlock. For whatever reason that does not trip the hang the way the gnome screen saver does. -- X hangs on exit from screen saver (similar to 282081) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/315219 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
