** Description changed: I just did a clean Intrepid Ibex Alpha 2 install and my Intel i752 card wasn't detected correctly. When Xorg started you could see a lot of different colour lines on the screen with a pointer in the centre for some seconds, then it went black, then some others lines, black again, ... until after some time a desktop in 640x480 appeared. I logged in and checked xorg.conf file and I noticed it was using vesa driver so I ran the xfailsafe thing and configured it to use intel driver and the correct screen (it worked like this on hardy) and the same happened. So I configured it again using xfailsafe and before restarting X I edited xorg.conf by hand to set the default color deph to 16 and it worked in 1024*768. This happens because this Intel cards do not support more than 16 as regards color depth. + + [lspci] + 00:00.0 Host bridge [0600]: Intel Corporation 82810E DC-133 (GMCH) Graphics Memory Controller Hub [8086:7124] (rev 03) + Subsystem: Dell Device [1028:00b4] + 00:01.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: Intel Corporation 82810E DC-133 (CGC) Chipset Graphics Controller [8086:7125] (rev 03) + Subsystem: Dell Device [1028:00b4]
